Charles Caruana started dancing at a young age. He started Modern Ballroom and Latin American lessons at the age of seven at Tony Lawrence Dance School. During these years, he participated in various competitions and achieved good placing in most of these. In 1996, he received the Bronze Level Certificate at the British Association of Teachers of Dancing also referred to as B.A.T.D. Additionally in the year 2000; he achieved the Silver Level Certificate for 5 dance Ballroom and for 5 dance Latin again with B.A.T.D. Moreover, in 2001 Charles attained the Gold Level Certificate for 5 dance Latin with the same Association and in the same year he also received the Gold Level Certificate for 5 dance Ballroom. He participated in The Second Malta Open Amateur Competition and placed 1st in Youth A/Gold Standard. Furthermore in 2003, he achieved the Blue Riband with B.A.T.D., which is the highest level of certification a dancer can be awarded with in Ballroom dancing. Upon his visited to Italy, Charles Caruana participated in a competition called Federazione Italiana Danza Sportiva and placed 3rd out of 186 couples. Charles performed in various Musicals, just to mention a few - Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita, Oliver, Chess, Les Miserable, Fiddler on the Roof and Moulin Rouge. In 2003, he joined Aceline Dancers and formed part of the animation team offering fabulous entertainment in the most prestigious hotels on the island. Charles’s career stretches also to the Television sphere by preparing, training and coordinating dancers to perform in various popular TV programs. In April, 2005, he occupied a main part in a Tribute to the Oldies directed by Bronk Production & Spiteri Lucas Entertainment. In November, 2005, Charles joined Tristan b Group were he coordinated the group and performed in all Tristan’s shows and appearances. In April, 2006, he joined The Knights of Malta 1565 which is a local Musical directed by Salvu Mallia and music by Mro. Paul Abela. Charles had a central role in this show, that of Pawlu the village hero. Apart from performing in local shows with Tristan B, such as, the concert held in Siggiewi on September, 2006, Charles performed together with Tristan in Cyprus, Greece and lately in Milan were Tristan`s presentation have been broadcasted on Italian media including Media Set, Rai, Sky and more. In April, 2007 Charles going to Milan to join Tristan b Italian dancers under Saverio Aarreima, the choreographer in charge of various programs on Canale 5. This is giving Charles the opportunity to express his talent and broaden his experience out of our shores. In July, 2007 Charles performed together with Tristan b in Milan, presentation the new album (Fallen Angel) to Italian media. In September, 2007 Charles dancing in Indifest 2007 with the Italian dancers in Malta. In October, 2007 Charles Join Aceline Dancers again for some shows in hotels and TV shows in Malta and Gozo, In October, 2007 Participate in Show Me You Can Dance on One Tv he place in 7th from 16 Dancers. Charles in April, 2008 performed together with Ani Lorak the singer from Ukraine and participate in Eurovision Song Contest 2008, Charles Dancing at SKY CLUB for the promo in Malta for the song Shady Lady and Charles choreograph the song for the night in SKY CLUB. On 4th July Charles join Pjazza one of the best entertainment program in Malta, He dancing on the opening and some of musicals show on this program.
